One Big Ol' Christmas Post

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

No scratch that....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Did you know there are people out there who are afraid to say Merry Christmas this time of year in fear of being politically incorrect? What are we coming to?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Anyways,

Well I know I havent written in over 2 months. And judging by my last post everyone thinks I must be busy driving all over the country to write on here....and I wish that were true.

But it's not.

I received orders in September to attend a mandatory leadership class in San Antonio for three months starting in January. Another guy in our branch also came down with those orders, two people have PCS'd out of here and another got out of the military all together leaving Wiesbaden Branch a little short on personnel. Since I'm the only technician here in Wiesbaden that put major stress on our Vet, who in turn made sure everyone was as stressed as she was.

Since I'm coming back I had to train one of our temporary soldiers how to do the basics of my job in my absence. In January we have our annual inpsection in which I have to do all the prep for. Rewriting Operating Procedures and documenting all patients we worked on in 2008 is just part of what needs to be done. There's alot more but since I've already completed those tasks I don't want to have to speak of them until next year. Sorry.

So to say the least it's been a rush, rush kind of three months. Fortuantely I saw this coming and scheduled two trips back to Kansas to get away from Germany for a while. Both were to see my little brother play football, the second trip just happened to stretch over Thanksgiving. It was great to see everyone again. I realized I hadn't been home for any major holiday since 2004. Things sure had changed, but it was good that we could all come together (except Josh) under one roof and have some wonderful food. I also realized how much I missed my family's cooking!!!!

So after the 10 days off it was back to 10 hour incovenience I call work. I got everything ready for our inspection, the new person is trained (I think), and all the people here are happy (I hope). For the next 2 weeks I have to concentrate on getting everything ready for my class which starts at the beginning of the year. I have no Christmas plans, just watch Christmas movies like I have been each year. I have no New Years plans. 2008 started off like a lion but is ending like a lamb. Hopefully in 2009 it'll pick back up..

I hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS!!!
