Oh wow I guess it's been a while since I wrote about this. With my Thailand trip and FTX I guess I've forgotten to write about it, but we have still been playing!!
We have amassed a 20 win season already this year and one loss. That one coming to at the nads of the Essex. Last weekend was Armed Forces Day and we actually got a tournament in that wasn't rained out. We started out great winning our first two games pretty well, but the Essex team seemed to find their bats as the day went on and once they found us in the Championship game they never looked back. They had to beat us twice to knock us out and that is just what they did in two very close games.
Last night I guess we were still feeling the shock of being beat by the same team thrice in a row, and we gave away a game to the fire department that we should have won.
Wecaught a break though by playing the depleted USS Safeguard team. We played as effectively as the other games the only difference was they couldn't. We beat them with the mercy rule and stopped the 3 game losing streak.
