Back in the States:

After about a year and a half away from a Walmart and a Papa Johns Pizzeria it was good to finally step off the plane to the good ol heat wave on the east coast. I decided to come back to DC to see a bunch of friends I left here and some that I have met in Japan.

And whats a summer vacation without a trip to the beach? The friend I was staying with got a good deal on a timeshare in Ocean City Maryland for the week so after departing the plane we just drove down there and spent the first couple of days just being lazy and laying by the beach and pool. This place seems to have the largest collection of mini golf courses so we couldn't refuse the lure of the 18 holed attractions. After a wonderful seafood buffet we picked of the many along the main drive and had a blast, they dont have any of these things so I had a great time, until my ball wound up outdside of the fence and into oncoming traffic, that was probably the better part of the night now that I think about it since I lost to my friend by one stroke :(

After enough sun we came back down to the metro area and I have been busy ever since. I got the phone numbers of all that I knew down here and started calling. I got to see alot of the people and learned of more that I'll use the rest of the week to go and see, things have changed a bit since I've been gone, but I still remember the main reason I was glad to go, the traffic. I have purposely avoided the rush hours, but even at 1000 at night the roads are still congested, ah well....Kansas in 5 more days...
